The key to wisdom is this – constant and frequent questioning, for by doubting we

are led to question and by questioning we arrive at the truth.

~Peter Abelar

Caution! You must have an open mind to read this article. Are you ready to question all the conditioning and programming you received since you been an infant? I have a question for you—do Heroes, enlightened, spiritual, religious and good people swear? I know it’s a weird question, but I think it’s very powerful one to get you to question your own thoughts. And questioning your thoughts leads to joy, contentment and finding and being your true self.

Swearing Girl

I have a niece and nephew Izzy and Bubba who I love and adore that are 12 and 13, and I am of course the world’s greatest Uncle. When I’m with these two, I swear and curse a lot in front of them and I have done this for many years. There are two reasons I do this, the first reason is they laugh extremely hard, and I love to make them laugh and have fun with them. And the second reason is more important—it opens their mind up to start questioning the status quo of society and to start questioning what they have been and are being taught and programmed with. Because having the skill to question everything is critical to them living an amazing, powerful and authentic life.

If your thoughts right now are saying, “I can’t believe he swears in front of little kids, how bad and horrible.” AWESOME!! Mission accomplished! I just got you face to face with your thoughts that might not be yours that you might have picked up along your journey in life. Someone please explain to me how two words that mean the same thing—one is a bad word and the other a good word—can mean something other than what we were taught.

My purpose in writing this article is not to prove swearing is good and to be right. I want you to you start questioning your thoughts and thinking. Because the way this world gets better is for people to start questioning their own thoughts and the conditioning they received from society. Because I believe it’s real easy to condemn and judge people for swearing, but not to question your country why they decided to go to war again. But easy does not make the world more beautiful, nor make you a Hero. So go ahead and analyze your thoughts about swearing, don’t just think for a few seconds and come to the conclusion swearing is bad. Actually contemplate this and think for a couple of days or weeks to see how “YOU” really feel about this. And maybe you’ll come to the conclusion that cursing isn’t your cup of tea; that’s cool—at least you started a great habit of questioning your thoughts.

Every Hero uses a questioning attitude to examine the status quo of society. Ready for purpose, passion and freedom? Then use the questioning attitude to question group thinking (society) and your thoughts.

Some people don’t question their thoughts about hating people because the color of their skin, sexual orientation, religion and the country they live. Heroes always examine their disempowering thoughts and ask, “Are these my thoughts, or did I inherit them from family, teachers, relatives, coach, minister, media or some other source?”

What thoughts do you have that are holding you back from being your true self—A Hero?

Where can you use a questioning attitude to unlearn what you learned?
