All our dreams can come true,

if we have the courage to pursue them.

Walt Disney

About a year ago, a niece through marriage was debating whether she would pursue her childhood dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. This young woman has a beautiful personality and would make an incredible teacher. But her high school guidance counselor told her this was a bad idea, because there weren’t many jobs in the teaching field right now. And after she and her family did their own research, they found this to be true.

There was a lot of fear that she would go to college and end up not getting a job. So her family started telling her that being a teacher was a bad idea. It didn’t matter to her family that this has been her dream since she was a little girl.

Her family loves her very much and wants the best for her, but their advice was coming from a place of fear. And fear had convinced all of them that being a schoolteacher was not in her best interest. She decided to not follow her dream and to become a nurse instead.

Uncle Tony had to let her know how I felt about all this. I advised her to really think about her decision. I reminded her that her lifelong dream was to become a teacher.

I asked this beautiful young lady with her whole life ahead of her if she would be happy in the future as a nurse—especially when she was my age. I told her there could come a time when she will dread going to work no matter how much money she made. I told her to fight for her dreams and passions in life. Of course, I was the bad guy in the family for a while. Despite my best intentions, my niece is attending school to study nursing.

There is so much to learn in following your dreams in this story. First of all, will there be lots of fears in following your dreams? YES!! Will there be experts telling you it’s a dumb idea and the future looks bad for it? YES!! Will there be family and friends trying to talk you out of it—even your spouse? YES!! Will it be easy? Hell NO!! Will it be worth it? Hell YES!!!

Can you be and do what your meant to do and be?? Sure thing!!! Can you live your dreams and have passion and meaning in your life? I am here to tell you Absolutely YES!!

The only thing you have to do to live life on your terms is ignore fear, and ignore the naysayers in your life. Be committed to yourself, and be committed your dreams.

Following your dreams is not passive at all—it takes bold action. It takes faith in yourself and your vision. It takes being 100% committed.

This is not being passive; it’s taking deliberate action. It’s going for broke to achieve your dreams. It’s knowing that any challenges you come across you will be able to overcome. It’s really believing in yourself.

Close your eyes and find that place deep inside that knows who you really are . . . not the bullshit stories of who you’re not and why you can’t. Find that place inside you that knows the truth of who you really are and knows you can do this—live your dream.

Now is the time to share your dream with the world. Now is the time to share what comes from your heart and makes the world better and more beautiful. Now is the time for all of humanity to realize WE are all One and to make this world better and more beautiful for all. NOW IS THE TIME!!!

Please repeat this:

I Am living my dreams by being and doing what I was meant to be and do!!!

Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure.
